Britney Spears ditches British lover

Raging Britney Spears hurled her British lover’s new $600 iPhone into her pool after finding saucy texts on it from another woman.

She dumped paparazzi photographer Adnan Ghalib following a blazing row, convinced he was cheating on her. But before she ordered him from her home in the Hollywood hills, she grabbed the Apple gadget and threw it in the water.

An insider told how Toxic singer Britney, 26, confronted Brummie Adnan after two video clips showing him out with mystery girls were posted on Internet blogs. In one, he was caught briefly holding hands with a woman as they left a restaurant. Britney then checked his iPhone and saw the sexy texts.

The insider said: “There were about a dozen from one girl, all sent on one day. They were pretty saucy stuff with sexual references, certainly not the sort you’d send to just a friend. Britney lost it and started yelling. She was demanding to know who sent the texts and shouting, ‘What’s this about? You’re cheating on me’. Adnan said the girl was just a friend, but Britney got more and more angry. Then she told him, ‘That’s it. It’s over’.

Jennifer Lopez gives birth to twins

Jennifer Lopez gave birth to twins – a boy and a girl – on Friday morning after one of pop music’s most closely-watched pregnancies.

The boy and girl, delivered in a Long Island, New York, hospital, were the first for the 38-year-old actress and singer, whose efforts to become pregnant have filled tabloid pages in the past few years.

Anthony, a 39-year-old salsa singer, has a daughter and two sons from two previous relationships.

Lopez did not confirm her much-rumoured pregnancy until early November, when she announced the news to a Miami audience while on a concert tour with her husband.

The babies were born at 12.45am local time on Long Island, New York State. Lopez, 39, and husband Marc Anthony, 38, married in 2004. The twins are her first children, and his third and fourth.

Tom Cruise Private Show

In a surprise visit to the rehearsal studios of The Spice Girls, film stars Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, along with 19th month old daughter Suri; were treated to an impromptu private performance.It seems that having friends like Victoria and David Beckham on their speed dial has there bonuses. Following the surprise visit, Victoria said: “David and I are great friends with Tom and Katie. It was lovely of them to come down to rehearsals, a really nice surprise.

“Katie has told me before that she used to be a huge Spice Girls fan, so it was great for her to meet the other girls.”

Apparently this is what makes news these days. In essence some people went to visit friends where they had a sing song and a boogie. But because they are famous the world has to know about it. I sigh in exasperation and say good for them.

On a more relevant note, The Spice Girls are joining the reunion wagon and their tour kicks off in December. Is it the in thing for old bands to reunite this year?

Pete Wentz Not such a Knight in Shining Armour

Ok girls, if you heard that Pete Wentz was the modern day hero for sticking up for his girlfriend, I am afraid he denies all knowledge. It was rumoured the Fallout Boy bassist had filed claims against Canadian band Neurosonic, to prevent them from releasing a song which basically takes the mickey out of his missus, Ashlee Simpson.

Neurosonic wrote the song, So Many People, in response to Simpson’s disastrous TV performance on Saturday Night Live in 2004 which caught her lip-synching

But Wentz claims that the reports of a cease a desist notice sent to the rockers are untrue. He insists he doesn’t know anything about the band or their song; “If your songs are good then sleep easy and have fun playing them – just don’t attach me to them.”

Good song or not Pete, that’s your girlfriend they are mocking. Grow a backbone man!
